Pelagic Partners Supports Maritime Cyprus 2025 as Managing Director Joins Key Panel Discussion

Pelagic Partners Team at Maritime Cyprus 2025

The Maritime Cyprus 2025 Conference once again brought together leaders, innovators, and policymakers from across the global shipping industry — and for Pelagic Partners, it marked another meaningful opportunity to contribute to the conversation shaping the sector’s future.

As a third-time supporter of the conference, Pelagic Partners reinforced its ongoing commitment to the Cypriot maritime ecosystem and its vital role on the international stage.

Pelagic Partners continues to be a proud supporter of the Cyprus flag. During the event, our team highlighted the importance of collaboration across all industry stakeholders, from shipowners to investors and government bodies, in strengthening Cyprus’s standing as a maritime hub.

During the panel, Funding Strategies for the Next Era of Shipping, our Managing Director also shared some insights into one of Pelagic Partners’ investment philosophies, particularly on upgrading vessels within its own portfolio. “We are focusing on upgrading vessels ourselves, which we believe offers better returns than buying new ones. This ensures the portfolio runs efficiently, delivers consistent dividends to shareholders, and contributes to a more sustainable operational model.” Atef mentioned.

This strategy underscores the belief that true value creation may be achieved from within, through active asset management, technical innovation and continuous improvement of existing fleets, rather than seeking external growth.

Maritime Cyprus 2025 served as a reminder that the future of shipping lies in collaboration, adaptability and responsibility. Pelagic Partners remains dedicated to supporting these principles, and strengthening the Cyprus maritime industry.

We look forward to continuing this journey toward a smarter, cleaner and more connected maritime future.
